When there’s a will, there’s a way.
Audio equipment comes at every price point, and let's face it - the good stuff gets expensive. But great sound doesn't require expensive components. Much of what you pay for is everything around the components: development, distribution, labor, and marketing. In a hobby full of diminishing returns, those costs are often what you're actually buying. Worse, they can keep excellent designs from ever being built or shared at all, because the finished price would climb higher than anyone's willing to pay.
So how do we get those ideas out into the world where people can hear them?
Remove the labor from the equation. Even a few hours of skilled labor drives prices up fast, and it introduces a quality-inspection gate where perfectly good parts get rejected, often for cosmetic flaws that have zero effect on the sound. Fixing that means paying for more skill or scrapping material and starting over. Either way, you pay.
"Fine, I'll do it myself!"
That's where Propagate Audio comes in: an index of brands and designers offering kits, plans, parts, software, and knowledge - everything you need to build, or even design, your own speakers. It was assembled by people with a genuine passion for audio, some of whom have built careers in this community.
